The Digital Paparazzi

The Digital Paparazzi

The Digital Paparazzi are no ordinary photographers - they are entertainers with a mission. A mission to enliven and capture events and solicit cheesy grins and outrageous poses. Fun and exhibitionism!

Most people would be shocked to find the paparazzi in their faces. I mean of course, the real paparazzi, who hang around at all times of day, ready to suddenly expose the next new celebrity into public view. But how would you react, if a group of paparazzi styled from the 1930’s were waiting outside the venue that you had just arrived at?

As stated on their website, over the past five years, at hundreds of events, they have taken many tens of thousands of pictures of many hundreds of thousands of people. The vast majority of them were smiling. An awful lot of them were posing. Some of them posing awfully. But all of them were having fun.

Available as an original addition to any event, function or party, normally positioned as guests arrive - just like the real paparazzi - photo’s taken are displayed on a web page known only to those involved (that has no inbound links, so is private) for the guests to visit and view, at the latest, 12 hours after the event. Each guest pictured is given a card with details and the address of the site where they can view all the other pictures taken at that (but only that) event. See a sample from RSVP 2005. Each site is individually designed to reflect any corporate identity and colour scheme.

Based in Nottinghamshire, most of their work has been in London, but they have also been to Berlin, Copenhagen and Barcelona. They are currently planning trips to Bucharest and Nice. With a list of corporate clients as long as your arm, (including the BBC and Coca-Cola) The Digital Paparazzi certainly are ready to add a finishing touch to your event.

Overall, I reckon its a fantastic service, with added value entertainment thrown in. The Digital Paparazzi will certainly be on my ‘must have at next party’ list!
