Event Description:
The festival starts on a Friday night when a gospel choir performs at Newark Parish Church and concludes in a concert by Humphrey Lyttleton and Acker Bilk at The Palace Theatre on the Sunday.
Paul Sparks said, “The festival will raise the profile of Newark’s restaurants and retailers, it will bring peoople across the river to the town centre.”
Jazz will also be performed at pubs including The Fox & Crown, The Mailcoach and The Atrium. Ann Et Vin will also be one of the venues.
The festival will also enable local musicians such as The Magnus Swing Band, jazz musician Andrea Hall and saxophonist Alan Barnes to show case their talent.
